Job Summary:
The EDI-B2B Infrastructure team provides EDI software installations, configuration, administration, upgrades, troubleshooting, consultation, B2B communications with customers/suppliers/banks/3PLs, and support for Global and Regional EDI Deployment/Customer Service teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Rotating On-Call support for occasional after hours/weekend coverage
Perform all phases of analysis including problem definition, solution conceptualization and tasks needed to complete Infrastructure related projects.
Participate in Infrastructure support activities such as monitoring systems and internal/external customer support
Participate in IBM Sterling Integrator software upgrades, patches, add-on installations, configurations, and support.
Windows DMZ Server installation of IBM SI software for Perimeter Server
Understand TEIS strategic plan, system strategies, and enterprise architecture.
Deploy SI business processes into production environments
Document business processes and technical user information flows
Monitor and help manage communications/routing of data thru SI
Communications with TEIS Data Center Operations for the software/hardware/operating system issues
Support communications and configurations to SAP RFC calls/file based interfaces
Develop scheduled Jobs, UNIX Scripts, and data routings
Provide proactive evaluation of system issues and recommendations for resolutions
Scope is global

Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:
Unix knowledge and shell script processing
Knowledge and experience in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and Industry Standards (EDIFACT, ANSI X12, etc.)
EDI VAN-Value Added Network knowledge (GXS, Inovis, IBM-Sterling, etc.)
RosettaNet knowledge a plus
Internet communication protocol knowledge (FTPs, sFTP, AS2, HTTPS, OFTP2)
Security Certificates, Firewall, PGP and other encryption technologies knowledge
Java J2EE knowledge and experience is a plus
Oracle DB knowledge or experience is a plus
SAP interface knowledge a plus

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Experience as a Technical/Business Analyst

Experience working in a global organization a plus. Must be able to flex daily work schedules occasionally to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications.
Educational Required/Desired:
Minimum 5 years of IT experience dealing with various applications and communications software preferably on a Unix platform.
Minimum 2 years experience with B2B SI (Sterling Integrator)
Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience and knowledge.
