Job description
The candidate for the above captioned position should exhibit the
following requirements:-
At least 2 EU VAT implementations experience.
Plants abroad with VAT.
Configuration of SAP system for EU VAT and standard reports for
different EU countries.
INTRASTAT reporting.
Able to complete configuration within a short time of 2 or 3 days and
keep the system ready for testing.
Able to fix the issues related to EU VAT during integration testing.
Working on Banking Interface, testing, interacting with Banking
agencies, if required.
VAT tax determination.
EC sales list.
Working with SD team to finalize the outputs and country specific
requirement with regard to VAT.
The consultant is not just SAP configuration expert but should have a
thorough knowledge of processes behind EU taxation.
Able to travel and stay continuously for 6 weeks.
Preferably GC holder/US citizen to avoid travel issues.
Please Note:  Immediate travel to Germany is required.
Experience of at least 10 years in the areas of Europe taxes,
especially VAT in SAP
Experience of at least 4 implementation projects in taxes and VAT
Tax experience for the Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, France
Should be able to get the requirements and direct the business on the
best practices of implementing taxes in SAP
Experience in designing the Bank interfaces would be preferred.

SAP BASIS Administrator support position.
The SAP BASIS Administrator is responsible for maintaining the SAP ERP
Application, database and related utility software from a technical
infrastructure (BASIS) perspective with regards to performance,
availability, backup /recovery, installation and upgrades,
import/export of WorkBench objects, client copies and transport
creation.

• Applies system upgrades, support packs and patches to the SAP
application and related systems
• Ability to advise and assist with SAP system architecture design,
sizing, and installation and EHP upgrades
• Perform monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting
• Management of SAP user access and security aspects
• Designs, develops and implements disaster recovery practices,
procedures and plans for SAP environment
• Installed and configured TREX to enable Catalog Authoring Tool and
Catalog Search Engine
• Setup and configured the file adapters in XI / PI
• Configure, manage, and monitor TMS (Transport Management System),
Export and import transports
• In-depth knowledge of administration and configuration of virtual
systems based on VMware
• Solution Manager setup and configuration
• Perform system refreshes, client copies, client exports/imports and
new client setups
• Perform daily health checks including checking backup status, system
logs and database logs for any issues
• Perform SAP printer and spool administration
• Configure and manage SAP Solution Manager/CCMS alerts for
availability, performance, etc.
• Create, manage and monitor batch jobs in SAP
• Ensure stability, security and recoverability of the SAP application
and related systems
• Support functional and technical I.T. support teams with problem
resolution and system modification design and implementation
activities
• Portal configuration and connectivity
• Assist with data loads and mass data updates
• Perform transfer of all application changes from development
environment to the QA environment to production release
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures and documentation relating
to the SAP
• Ability to explain technically complex solutions in simple terms
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines, both
independently and as a team member
• Provide off hours systems support as and when needed
• Perform capability/knowledge transfer to PTC staff
• Possess good problem solving skills and excellent interpersonal and
communication skills
Position will be for 500 hours.

What version of SAP and what modules?
Name the modules and we own them and are implementing, HTR,

How critical is SAP i.e. if I find a very experience QA Test
Lead but does not have SAP.
Some SAP background would be ideal. But a QA Lead with
outstanding skill that doesn\'t have SAP would be considered.
How many testers will be part of the team?
Varies but 5-15 is not uncommon
Explain the reporting dashboard format and frequency of reporting.
10Using the dashboard module in HP QC to drive reporting. Status
reporting will be a challenge due to the tremendous workload and
unavailability of testing resources - creativity will be key.
Frequency is weekly --but potentially as often as ---on demand.
What level of interaction will this person have with the business and IT.
Interaction with Super Users/SME\'s and IT Management and worker bees.
What are the qualities and skills that have been key to success
of other QA Test Leads at American Water.
Must be flexible. Can\'t be rigid formal methodologist who "goes
by the book" - though those skills are good to have to be able to
offer when asked. Should be hungry for hard work and extra hours.
It is a replacement for a full time employee and it will be 6
month contract and then the person will be evaluated for the full time
position.
