Required Skills / Experience
** SAP experience a must - especially MM, FN, COPA, Inventory Mgmt
1) Designated number of years experience with formal test methods and
quality assurance programs including preparation and execution of:
- Test plans
- Test cases
- Test scripts
- Scenarios for system / integration / regression / UAT testing
- Defect tracking and management
- Risk identification
- Test progress and Quality reporting
2) Ability to come up to speed quickly, and reach out promptly if in need
of assistance
3) Proven skill in eliciting clear and complete requirements from business
users
4) Proven skill in preparing test cases based on requirements
5) Ability to define and configure test environments and data
6) Hands on experience with HP Quality Center, HP Quick Test Pro, IBM
Rational toolset, or equivalent tools.
7) Prior experience in utilizing SQL in testing efforts, including use of
TOAD, and creating queries from scratch.
8) Ability to work in and understand the principles of various SDLC models
including Waterfall (preferred) and Agile.
9) Excellent written and verbal communication for both technical and
non-technical stakeholders.
10) Excellent people skills for engaging positively with client personnel
who are not skilled in QA process or techniques.
11) Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles.
12) SAP or Oracle Financial Software package experience
Education
BS/AS degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, MIS or
equivalent industry experience
Highly desired Skills
1) Experience testing applications that have multiple interfaces with other
systems for both input and output of data.
2) Experience utilizing automated testing products, including script
preparation.
3) Experience with financial systems involved in budgeting, GL/s payroll,
multi-currency, etc .
4) Experience with data import / export using Excel
5) Knowledge and experience with ETL processes
Pluses
1) Industry Certification(s) such as CSTE, ISTQB, CSQA, SSBB, etc.
2) Strong debugging, coding, and analytical problem solving skills.
3) Performance testing experience.
4) Prior experience working with remote development and testing teams.
