Job Title: Sr. SAP PP ConsultantLocation: Houston,TXDuration:
6+monthsNOTE There will be up to 30% travel to other client locations at
client's request, including international locations. Rate : $55-60/-hr on
C2CJob Description:-The SAP Functional Consultant will work with
functional business experts to develop SAP applications.
Consultant will be expected to learn on the go and work on both new
requests/projects as well as supporting production support.
The role will include supporting the local and global community, developing
functional designs, making configuration changes, and testing SAP
application developments.
Responsibilities:-Design, code, component and assembly test new
development, maintenance and enhancement requests.
Providing deep functional & technical expertise to the team for SAP work
process, applications & products.
Assisting in definition of functional requirements.
Helping ensure detailed project requirements are defined and managed.
Performing functional & environment design and configuration.
Perform adaptive & preventative maintenance planning & implementation.
Responding to and perform impact analysis on incoming service requests.
Assist with estimating new development and enhancement requests.
Work with Service Support Manager to prioritize service requests and to
resolve support issues based on service level agreements.
Work with the client to understand business needs and objectives and assist
in the design and implementation of new solutions.
Review and clarify requirements, and develop designs to support defined
business requirements, participate in detailed design reviews, review test
plans, and provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
Track performance and report progress against work package and team goals.
Participate in process improvement efforts. Build strong relationships with
the business partners.
Required Skills:-
• 5+ years of SAP PP experience, functional and
technical, configuration experience and abilities is a must, APO / MES
understanding desirable
• At least 2 full lifecycle implementations as PP Functional Consultant
• Desired experience in Shop floor Production Planning, Quality Management,
Operations and Shop Floor Execution
• Experience in managing User expectations
• Experience as Functional/Technical Support / Technical project lead –
needs to have project leadership skills
• Understands manufacturing shop floor business needs relative to
manufacturing execution systems, automation, simulation
• Recognizes potential problem areas and provides advice and direction on
the use of technology tools and problem solving processes.
• Develops/Designs processes/technical solutions
• Possess excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
• Work independently to support and resolve end user support queries
• Willing to travel (project execution) at customers locations worldwide
(30%)
