Role: Senior SAP Solution Architect with Public Sector and SRM experience
Location: Columbia, Maryland
Duration: 3 - 4 months
Start: mid-January 2013
Expected Qualifications
· Understands Information Technology: Incorporates new ideas and
knowledge of current trends and events in information technology to project
the future business environment. Uses “what if” thinking to explore how
events and trends might precipitate future business alternatives. Is able
to envision what is possible. Develops model strategies that are grounded
in a realistic assessment of what the organization can achieve.
· Makes Decisions: Appropriately balances analysis with expediency
and risk taking, even under adverse conditions. Deals with ambiguity
without paralysis. Demonstrates thinking strategically over tactically.
· Experience in the Public Sector industry with large scale
government clients. Must have good interpersonal skills. Must be able to
establish strong working relationships with both technical and
non-technical members of staff, be sensitive when introducing new
technologies and methodologies to established groups and products, but have
the conviction to push through technologies that are in the best interests
of the company.
· Understand SAP systems, bolt-ons, and integration. Demonstrates
insight on how architectural decisions by application teams can impact
interoperability with other systems
· Define and manage projects, especially functionally aligned work
streams (e.g. resource requirements and project workflow) to meet
engagement objectives and budget.
· Utilize and apply best practices on projects, gleaned from
experience and consultation with experts; appropriately tailored for the
client and their culture.
· Plan, design and coordinate the work in the technical areas of
the SAP SRM e-Bidding implementation.
Desired Experience
· Ensure the specified SAP technical architecture meets business
platform requirements.
· Manage incoming technical requests from both SRM and other
functional teams.
· Assist with reviewing custom code for e-bidding implementation,
analyzing the impact of the proposed technical solutions.
· Assist in creating and modifying strategies, resolve problems and
document issues and resolutions.
· At least 8 years SAP experience, with minimum 5 years of SAP SRM
hands-on experience with focus on vendor registration.
· 4 Full Life Cycle implementations of SRM, preferably with RampUp
Methodology.
· Will have worked in a large scale SAP solution environments, with
responsibility for technical solution design and implementation planning
for SRM systems.
· Experience developing and enforcing standards: Technical
architecture, environment, landscape etc.
· Demonstrable experience in project blueprinting and technical
strategy.
· Ability to clearly communicate technology issues, plans and
solutions from both a business perspective and a technical perspective
providing pros and cons for recommended solutions.
