Title: SAP BW Functional (Production Support) consultant
Location: MIC, India
About the Role:
Candidate will be responsible for supporting the BW production environment

Key Responsibilities:
 Works closely with both technical and BW (development) functional teams to ensure the success of the overall solution
 Identifies impact to business resulting from newly configured or improved business functionality developed by SAP BW Development functional team, and identifies methods for addressing business change impacts
 Understands the data structures and data mapping routines in SAP BW to support the data and reporting requirements for all areas of the organization
 Prepares status reports to update the management on day-to-day activities and issues
 On call weekend and after hours support is required on as needed basis
Required Experience/Skills:
The candidate must be well versed with SAP BW 7.0, ECC 6.0 environment and have familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting SAP BW functional issues
 Should have at least5+ years of BW (7.0/3.5) functional experiencewith at least 3+ years in supporting the production environment along with development exposure
 Be able to develop technical specifications and BW objects based on functional specifications and business requirements
 Experience in COPA (Controlling - Profitability Analysis) ETL is required
 Knowledge of SAP business flows and the related functionalities
 Expertise in process chains and expert monitoring abilities BW 7.0
 Extensive hands-on in data modeling, design, and development of Data Store Objects, Info-cubes, Info providers and BEx Queries for SAP BW 3.5 and SAP BW 7.0
 Good in handling performance related issues in Modeling, Extraction and Reporting (ODS, Query, Loading)
 Experience with SAP BW ETL (extract / transformation / loading) from SAP ERP data source and data joining / consolidation within SAP BW
 Excellent analysis, debugging, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
 Extensive hands-on experience of high level structure elements of a DSO and InfoCube and transfer process that are used in SAP BW
 Good experience - Transport system concepts, RFC Connections, BWContent concepts, Name spaces
 In depth expertise knowledge of the different areas of SAP transactions and what they are used for RSA1, RSRT
 Should have at least basic ABAP programming skills related to SAP BW (Must be comfortable in developing BW routines, with debugging proficiency)
 Understanding of R/3 tables
 Good understanding of SOX and production systems handling with minimum 2 production support projects
 Should be flexible enough to work on the weekends and in different shifts (24x7) support model
 Ability to understand customer requirements and issues and translate that information to solutions leveraging working knowledge of the company"s products
 Professional experience working on Onsite-Offshore delivery model is mandatory
 Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
 Experience of functional aspects, finance module, and BOBJ knowledge would be a plus
