SAP BPC System Analyst
Type; Permanent
Location; North Malaysia
Level; Mid
Provides analysis, configuration and support for my client’s business systems focusing in the area of Record to Report (RTR). Deliver finance and accounting systems and enhancements with defined scope, budget, time, cost and quality criteria. Support RTR systems and users throughout organization.

Experience:

• 2-4 years experience deploying solutions using SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) (preferably some experience on 7.5 SP6 on Netweaver), SAP BW and ECC FICO applications/modules, providing customer support, and analyzing/troubleshooting issues within the finance and accounting areas. Other planning and consolidation application (like Hyperion) experience will be considered.
• 2 years experience providing application support for SAP BPC, Hyperion or similar applications required in a public company with multiple global locations.
• Experience coordinating internal and external resources to drive resolution of issues or to complete projects.
• Experience documenting business requirements and writing specifications for developers.
• Experience working with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes.
• Experience handling multiple issues/tasks/projects of varying size simultaneously.
• Experience sharing knowledge and training users and other team members.
• Experience in accounting or finance a plus, especially in planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation activities.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Responsible for level 1 and 2 support for SAP applications in the RTR area, focusing on supporting the Finance and Accounting groups on SAP BPC and related systems.
• Meet Application Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for Incidents and Requests.
• Test and implement changes, document and train users on new processes while adhering to specific compliance measures (SOx, etc.)
• Participate in projects from planning through steady state support transition.
• Provide required assistance in maintaining the current systems environment.
• Document support-related activities and cross-train other team members.
• Track and report the status of issues, escalate issues when necessary, and own issues through resolution and closure.
• Interface with other business departments and vendors.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Provide on-call support outside of normal business hours as necessary during critical times, normally around month/quarter/year end close.
• Performs other assignments as required

Education:

• 4 year degree in IT, business administration, or related field.
• BPC, FICO and/or CMA/CPA certification a plus

Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of core RTR functions including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and consolidation activities and processes. Understands financial statement components and relationships.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, configure and perform system administration for SAP BPC applications, including some Business Warehouse (BW) work.
• Ability to learn and manage other software business systems used by the company.
• Understanding of underlying systems and interfaces (SAP BW, ECC, etc.)
• Excellent communication and organization skills.
• Ability to work with functional departments and consultants effectively.
• Ability to work with global customer base.
