Job Title: SAP Data Archiving Consultant

Location: Houston, TX

Length: 6+months

Visa citizen: Any visa

Job description:

- Perform archiving and document management for defined SAP objects by
define, research, develop, test and implement archiving solutions for SAP
data for new archiving objects. Manage the document management system for
archived objects and database reorganization.
- Develop and implement archiving policies, including data retention
periods and scope of archived data in collaboration with functional
business owners for new objects.
- Provides domain expertise in the Data Archiving and ILM areas and work
closely with Customers Basis and functional teams to execute and adopt
tools and techniques as applicable. Provide Knowledge Transfer to
functional team members and other customer resources on the use of the
archiving tool sets.
- Provides guidance and insights about the nature and implementation of
Data Archiving and ILM applications to the implementation teams, subject
matter experts, end users, IT specialists, Systems Integrator(s), and other
internal and external resources.
- Ability to perform DART (Data Retention Tool) extracts Data analysis
for new archiving objects.

Required Skills:

- Ability to think analytically/critically when assessing current
situations and business needs, and when identifying root causes
- Capability to Perform data archiving functions and associated
configuration, including:
- Analyze standard and custom objects for archiving
- Archive jobs management
- Archiving Administration, Storing & Access of Archived data
- Perform DART extracts
- Open Text (or similar) & SAP Technical areas:

ArchiveLink

- ABAP Programming
- Bachelor's Degree

Desired Skills:

- Knowledge of SAP Information Lifecycle Management
- Experience in Legacy Decommissioning / ETL projects
- Knowledge on Records Management is a plus
- SAP workflow knowledge is a plus

Comments pIf the changes were related to Workbench its possible to perform a roll back do SE38 select objectname then go to VERSION to go back to version n1 As far as I know if other changes like table entries they are unfortunately erased while the tp command R3transppThank you for your early reply But i m not able to follow how we can use the objects in SE38 in transport request i can only see the tables and views I tried changing the version of tables and views on SE11 but i can see only one version there and that is already active can you please guide me furtherppHibr nbspbr The objects included in the TP request in question must be always consistentbr nbspbr bTo perserve so you have only two ways bbr ask the developper to perform another one tp request that will invalide these objects in the target system by including these objectsbr if possible browse and note the name ofnbspall the objects of the tp request and then go to previous versionbr br The first answer is better for you as you are not the initiator of the damaging request The second way is good for your knowledge but expose you to the wrath of some endusers or manager p
