Ability to lead discussions around new and existing business requirements and translate them to an intelligible and unambiguous software requirements specification document.
Responsibilities will include gathering of business requirements by taking part in technical requirement meetings, workshops, conference calls, discussion forums and related meetings to design, define and document solutions. The person would be expected to further streamline the existing requirements gathering process, focusing on speed, coverage, quality and accuracy
Should be able to demonstrate 3+yrs of experience in executing business process mapping and business process improvement exercises using technology as an enabler
Must have expert knowledge of information systems and technology including web-based technologies & architecture, service-oriented architecture, data architecture and custom software development
Ability to conduct secondary research using external sources, publications
Must be able deliver consulting services like benchmarking, vendor/package evaluation, IP and competitor landscaping across our businesses and functions
Ability to communicate effectively with customers at both senior managerial and technical levels.
Ability to influence globally dispersed teams while working without cultural barriers.
Ability to clearly develop and present findings & approaches related to resolving business problems through technology
Good analytical skills, knowledge of unified modeling language & software development lifecycle
Able to conduct build vs. buy decision analysis
Has management experience that includes working closely with IT in the development and implementation of large-scale systems
Prior experience in applying Human Factors to design
High level understanding of technologies in IT domain. Good exposure to at least one functional domain - ISC/SCM, CRM, ERP(SAP preferred). Exposure to SAP BI / BO or similar reporting packages would be an added advantage
Agile development methodologies & Lean principles training a plus
CBAP,CCBA (IIBA) / PMP/Prince2 / ITIL / Six Sigma / ISEB certifications are a plus.
Qualifications-
Engineering Degree in any discipline followed by MBA in Systems / General Management / Operations.
Consulting experience is required. Pre / Post MBA experience of 6-9 years.
Strong communication skills (verbal as well as written) for communicating across various levels of the organization. Demonstrated experience with presentation skills.
